SOUL PARTIZAN RADIO ROADSHOW

Music discovered. Stories shared. Culture connected.

Soul Partizan Radio Roadshow is the creation of Rodger Cary Grant.

DJ, broadcaster, curator and lifelong musical explorer with a passion for soul, funk, rare groove, jazz, roots reggae and the sounds that exist between the genres.

The story stretches from the Midlands and North West of England to London, Jamaica, France, Morocco, New York and beyond.

But one place had a particularly important influence: Shoreditch.

Moving to London placed Rodger at the heart of Shoreditch during its first great creative explosion between 1995 and 2004.

FROM SHOREDITCH WITH SOUL

Moving to London placed Rodger at the heart of Shoreditch during its first great creative explosion between 1995 and 2004.

It was a period before the area became an international destination — a time of warehouses, independent bars, artists, DJs, designers, musicians and promoters creating things simply because they believed they should exist.

That beautiful creative chaos left its mark.

In 2006, Rodger and his business partners put down roots with Three Blind Mice, the cult Shoreditch bar hidden behind a little black door on Rivington Street.

Part dive bar, part shebeen and part cultural experiment, Three Blind Mice mixed West Indian influences, cinematic imagery, global drinking culture and underground music into something deliberately difficult to categorise.

A platform for connection

This is where artists meet audiences — properly.

No distance. No barrier. No performance without meaning.
